Dr. Block is a Doctor of Acupuncture Chinese Medicine and licensed acupuncturist. She specializes in Pre/postnatal acupuncture, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Internal Medicine. With a degree in Exercise Physiology from University of Puget Sound, Dr. Block has worked with sports injuries in Physical Therapy settings as well as TCM clinics. Dr. Block treated Oncology patients at the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer center for 7-years and is well versed in using acupuncture to treat the symptoms of cancer. Additionally, she has found a passion working with fertility, prenatal and post natal patients. Since western medical drugs are not ideally taken in congunction with Oncology or prenatal treatments acupuncture and Chinese medicine are a fantastic alternative to drug therapy.  Melissa’s goal is to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western medical treatments and to further enhance the communities education in East/West therapies. During your first treatments you will receive a full history intake in addition to treatment. Depending on your chief concern and diagnosis, herbal recommendations and western physiotherapy modailities will be added to your program to enhance your treatments.

As Registered Nurses with extensive experience caring for patients with irreversible diseases, we are passionate about educating our community on wellness through IV hydration and injections. Our goal is to help others recognize the importance of focusing on overall health and to promote the use of naturally occurring substances like vitamins to enhance the body’s natural functions.
